Expert advice, trouble and strife.

I have recently been asked to join the experts on the advice pages of the 'Your Surrey wedding' magazine.

I am very excited and flattered at my new role but it got me thinking about your bridal hair issues.

For some brides their hair is one of the first things they think of, its up there with the dress. I for one spent ages sketching hair ideas and looking for inspiration.. I actually ended up doing it myself as I was let down by my hairdresser well, I say let down..It turned out she liked lots of backcombing, haispray and dodgy 80s inspired styles (All the rage now but not so hot when I got married 6 years ago!!) So I decided to give it a shot myself. It looked great on the day much more Keira Knightly in Love Actually but I'm not sure I would of gone for that option had I had time to think about it.

I do think that no matter what your hair 'issue' is the most important thing is that your stylist understands you. Get a mood board together to help your stylist understand your hair desires. Images of styles that you like, dresses, accessories, even cakes and venue details will all help your stylist get a clear idea of any theme or feel you are trying to achieve ensuring you get the messy boho look you crave and not the solid harsh bun she thinks looks great on you!!

NB: All Lovehair stylists are allergic to dodgy up do's, over application of products and out of date styles.
