Telunas, Private Island Wedding, Indonesia

I'

ve been lucky enough to work on some gorgeous destination weddings last year. Starting with Sri Lanka in January And finishing the year on a private Island in Indonesia, 3 hours South of Singapore. yeah I know, right!? An intrepid explorer I am not, so both of these made me more than  a little nervous but 2017 was all about saying YES for me so off I went..

Because f the distance I took my lovely husband Craig with me and we stayed in Singapore for a few nights before travelling across to Indonesia for the ‘work’ bit.

Singapore Slingers!

Singapore is AMAZING! The food, culture, people and futuristic landscape were all breath-taking and Craig and I had such a brilliant time, just hanging out and getting to know the area. Fair to say a Singapore Sling is my new favourite drink – I had enough of them to know!

We travelled from Singapore on the Friday and I went straight to the private island as Kassi had welcome drinks planned for her guests arriving that afternoon  so wanted her hair and make up to last in the heat but also until the beach party, bonfire and marshmallows long after dinner.

Cool Brides

I used Living Proof No Frizz anti humidity spray throughout to help the hair beat the heat. On the wedding day we went with a relaxed beach look with soft waves and a chunky fishtail plait

If you’re gonna hire a private island you may as well make the most of it and Kassi partied hard and finished the weekend with a pool party on the Sunday. She looked EPIC in her beach wear.. We went with a relaxed but chic plaited up d so she could dip in and out the pool without worrying about the heat and her hair.

The ‘Commute’!

We stayed in little wooden huts over the sea on the resort island which was across the water from The Private Island where Kassi got married, so I ‘commuted’ to work each morning. Something I will never forget.

I used airbrush make up on each day and long wear Bobbi Brown eyeshadow sticks to ensure nothing moved and she stayed looking hot all day despite the heat.

The actual wedding photos are yet to come, these are just from my phone ad the Cannon G9 that I was kindly loaned by cannon HQ to capture my trip with.
